Fixing a puncture  is something we will all deal with at some time. It is not easy to detect when we have suffered a  puncture in a motorcycle wheel , unless we check it directly and see that it has deflated.

However, there are details that can give you the necessary clues to know that you have punctured while you are riding your motorcycle: the handlebar vibrates slightly, in the curves it seems to want to go and you  notice that something does not work as it should .

How to deal with a puncture

When faced with a puncture, you will have to take into account  what type of tire  your motorcycle has. Depending on whether it is a tubeless or inner tube tire, you will have to act differently.

Repair a puncture in a tubeless tire

When your motorcycle uses  tubeless tires ,  it is best to carry a  puncture repair kit with you . They are quite cheap and easy to use, so repairing the puncture will not take more than a few minutes.

These repair kits consist of rubber strips, glue, a punch, a brace, a blade, compressed air capsules and adapters for the valves. These are the steps you must follow:

First,  remove the cause of the puncture . Depending on what it is, you should use a screwdriver, pliers or whatever tool you have on hand.

Use the brace to  enlarge the puncture hole and clean it of all the rubber it has. Clean it thoroughly so that no residue remains.

Take  a strip of rubber and glue it on . Then insert it through the eye of the awl halfway and put the awl with the rubber in the hole of the puncture as much as you can.

Remove the awl, being careful not to drag the rubber strip as well, which will remain plugging the puncture hole.

With the blade,  cut the excess rubber that comes out and  use the compressed air capsules to inflate the tire.

After a few minutes, check the tire pressure to see if it doesn't leak air ... and voila.

In this case it is usually more complicated in itself, because you will not always be able to disassemble the tire to remove the tube and be able to fix it in the old fashioned way, but luckily, you have products as effective as the puncture resistant ones.

These kits have a  bottle of the preventive liquid , a valve wrench and a cannula to introduce the product. Once the liquid has entered, you will have to roll a few kilometers so that it is distributed well and voila: any puncture you suffer will be automatically sealed without you having to do anything else.
